Jennifer is originally from Colorado, in the United States. She studied nutrition and fitness at Colorado State University. She did a year of graduate work with Utah State University and interned at a hospital as a clinical dietitian as well as at an Eating Disorder Treatment Center. It then she discovered her true passion for personal weight loss consulting and eating disorder counseling.

Jennifer has been living and working in Amsterdam since October 2002 (and understands and speaks Dutch quite well). She founded JR Dietetics Diëtistenpraktijk in the fall of 2003. From 2004-2006, she also worked as a personal trainer with Balance4Life Training Center, learning advanced personal training techniques and continues personal training in her own practice today. In 2005, she joined forces with Smith & Jones Addiction Treatment Center in Amsterdam where she focused on general health as well as the treatment of food addiction, eating disorders and emotional overeating through. She is currently working on a program with Ready for Change specifically designed for eating disorders and disordered eating, helping people restore a healthy relationship with food using a non-diet approach.

She is a registered dietician in the Netherlands and in the United States. She is also a member of the Nederlandse Vereniging van Diëtisten and carries a Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management.

Her goal is to guide you on the path to better health and fitness while increasing your energy and restoring a healthy, balanced relationship with food. Her aim is to provide guidance and support as you make important changes to your eating habits and lifestyle, obtaining an overall better quality of life!
